The keel guard on my boat got scraped through to the glass. I've tried doing it by hand with a set of vice grips and can gain about a half an inch in 5 minutes of grunting. Is there a solvent or remover that I can use without ruining the clear coat?? I was literally hanging by my vice grips trying to get it off, any suggestions would be appreciated.

3M Adhesive remover will help, but still not a fun job. I have also heard that heating helps but have not tried.

I yanked off the keel guard using the pull/grunt method and used a buddy's hot water pressure washer to remove the glue. It blasted boiling water on the hull at Lord knows what PSI. It was the ONLY thing that worked after over a year of trying different things.
