Just picked up the new boat yesterday! I can't wait to get her wet. Did up some rigging of my own yesterday (on-board charger, front fishfinder, etc.). Iv'e got to add the GPS, rod holders, put her name on the stern (Priapism, if you don't know what that means, pm me) and a CD player yet, and then I'm ready!

Thanx,
unfortunately, no, it won't fit, but I knew that when I bought her. I have free indoor storage for the winter, though.
Heck of a deal on 2005's that the dealers have yet to move. I saved a TON buying this one as opposed to a 2006.

It's raining right now, so the cover is wet, but it's just not the same. LOL

No, I'm not a UPS guy. I am curious, why would you ask that? Because the boat is Tan?

Ok, i've been getting plenty of pms about what Priapism means. Let's say you are on Cialis, Viagra, whatever (no, I'm not).
Priapism is a side effect that you would brag about.

Hi Terry,
no, the colors will remain what they are now.It does not pay to repaint a brand new boat. When I do add my logo to it, it will be more subtle than it was on the last boat.

Congrats, Rob.

Heard walleyes are smokin' over by New London.....get that puppy wet looking for some big wallys there or in DePere?!?!?

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. I literally just parked my "new" used rig in the garage for the first time today - first boat ever (I'm going OCD.....keep going out to check to make sure she is really there and that I have everything parked ok!!!

Congrats on the new boat. Looks nice. What made you decide on the Fisher? I thought you were looking for a Tuffy? Just wondering. Anyhow, congrats and good luck in '06.

I'm not a prude but is that a wise name if you're trying to establish your name in the fishing business world. Might turn some people off when you're really trying to attract them as customers. Of course the "name" will generate interest too. Otherwise, nice boat.

I shopped heavy last year and bought a Fisher also - great boat for the price. It performed beautifully last year.
Roger at R&R was great to work with. I got the last tiller Fisher made - Roger Stack told me they are thinking about bringing back the tiller next year. the 2005 has a slightly shorter beam tham the 2006.
You save money by buying a non current new boat.
That big capacity fuel tank is great.

Nice rig, Rob. Got a nice, big back deck, too.

As for the name? Well, if they talk about it, then it works.

Gyd, I bought my first Tuffy from Roger. He's a good guy. And he has a great store down there. One of the few things I miss after moving from Milwaukee.

Nice boat Rob, get her out on Shawano and see what she can do. And yes I know what Priapism means.....I'm probably the only one here who has actually seen one, it's truly a medical emergency. It can result from a traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury. Not a good thing. Yes it also happens from those meds too, though not very common.

Hi Guys,
Thanx for the congrats. Now to answer a few questions:
Yes, Pointer, you and I will get out this year.
The model is the Hawk 170CS
I went with this, as opposed to the Tuffy because of bankers (sorry BigMo). The interest rates on used boats where I bank was 11.75%. On a new boat, the interest was 6.4%. So, with that being said, over the life of the loan, I am further ahead buying a new boat, spending just a little more money over time as i would on a used boat. A new Tuffy was out of my financial reach. When this baby is paid off, it won't be, and I'll have a decent trade in.

Where do you bank and how many year loan did you get?

I may be in the market for a new boat, but can't find anything better than 7.9%

Thanks

Hello, I just moved to Shawano this past Sept. Love to fish and hunt so I'm really glad to be here. If you fish Shawano maybe you can give me some pointers. I would appreciate the tips. Thanks!!
