| Ok, guys and gals...
I'm doing a little research for personal use or even possibly professional also and let's hear some new ideas for lengths, powers, lure weights and the like.
I'm addressing you all first for a little brainscanning.

| 9 foot medium heavy and 10 foot trolling rods.[] |

| Thinner diameter cork handles for folks with medium to small hands, please. Add a low profile reel seat while yer at it. I want my Garcia 6500 to "fish easy" like my Curado, especially after 6-8 hours of casting. Fatigued hands lose fish. Thanks for asking. |

| Diferent handle options would definitely be nice...
Some people like long handles, short handles, thick foregrip, thin foregrip, etc...
I am looking to buy a light bucktial rod in 8'length this year.
I own the 8' Premier, but I am looking for another rod with a lighter action.. |
|
| |
|
| Longer rods say around 8ft. but with slightly shorter handles, so there no always in my stomach. I like long rods but doesnt work to good with my short arms.

| JWB...I sent you an e-mail. Check out the StCroix Tidemaster saltwater series. 8' heavy action, but much lighter than the Premeire.

| Make a Legend Elite muskie stick. Lightest most sensitive stick on the water! I would buy at least 2.

| Contured grips like on the Bass Pro rods. You get better feel and grip with their "power hump" handles. |

|
| Rob,
Longer one piece rods![:)]
A trolling rod say about 9 1/2'- 10' (one piece) |
|
| |
|
| Kly,
That idea has been brought up and being played with, but one question is, are people ready to spend up to $450.00 for a musky rod?
These are a good start. Like to hear some more!

| JWB,
Look at the 8 footer in the "Wild River" series.
Really nice light bucktail rod that doubles as a superb trolling rod.

| First off let me just say that st. croix rods are awesome. But hey since this is a suggestion thread here goes.
1) bring back the old legend rods
2) longer telescoping rods for all styles
3) narrower corks
4) long 8-10ft trolling rods
heck you could not change a thing, I would still buy them.[;)] |
|
| |
|
| It was brought up to me to bring this one back and I'd like to give it another go around. If anyone has any thoughts or comments, I'd like to hear it and Thanks![:praise:]

| Joe,
I can take a little constructive critisizm.[;)] I know our rods aren't perfect for everyone and I'm just doing a little research for work. If you wish, you can email it to me. It's on my profile and thanks in advance for your input.

| Just wondering how much the Wild River rods cost, because I used one a while back with a guide and loved it.
Thanks,

| Hey Rob I'd like to see some of the 8 footers have a longer blank section near the tip of the pole rather than the seat/handle. It seems that the longer rods are actually longer in the handle and not enough in the tip. I realize that may be contributed to balance, but the counterbalance weights is a great idea(good suggestion Beav!!) for shorting up the handle and extending the tip out a bit.
Also allowing the blank to pass through the cork handle and capped on the bottom with a rubber/plastic cap. This would ensure that I don't break off the seat of my cork handle when I'm torqueing the rod during the casting motion. I like gripping the bottom of the handle and flipping the rod for added leverage, but I often break off the cork because the blank ends a couple inches from the bottom of it. Thus, the cork wants to break at where the blank ends. I love your rods and that's all I own for my musky equipment.
catch ya later,
Krappie |

| A cheap way of getting them to the UK would be the best thing you could do for me, actually that may be the worst thing.....
We have a very limited supply and have to pay ridiculous prices for them, a premier series here is more expensive than an avid over there, and we have a choice of about 3 musky rods and 3 bass rods.

| I'll go along with the 9' - 10' trolling rods in MH or H. |
|
| |
|
| Maybe a bit off-the-wall and not feasible, but fishing walleyes in Feb. on the Mississippi and muskies in Nov. gets the hands dang cold. Is there any way to heat a real seat for some time w/maybe a little watch battery or something, just to keep it a little warmer for a few hours. It could go inside the real seat to balance the rod.
Just a wild idea.

| THINNER CORK MED. LENGTH HANDLES as seen on the saltwater models!!![:sun:] |
|
| |
|
| I like the counter weight idea as well.
How about the impossible? A counter weighted rod that still floats if dropped in the lake. I haven't lost a set up yet but only because the one that blew off the boat floated. |

|
| Good post rob!! What happened to the recomendations we gave you on the other one????
Shorter handles on the 8'er and the 7'6", as they are way too long. I buy the rod fore blank and guides, not cork.
Go back to the old 7'6" model(or close to it). That was a sweet stick, if a little slow. A faster action, version of the loe 76 would be the perfect crankin top rod. I would keep the current 7'6" out there though, as with the handle cut down, it is my favorite big cranks, and jerk stick. |

| Time to change the TipTop on the 8' and 10' 2-peice Pro-Glass Rods,to one that doesn't pop out! |

|
| 9' Premier. The deep figure eight special! |

| Hey Rob,
well opening day is in less than two weeks, and I still have not received that legend elite stick to field test. Write me an email and I can put a couple of them to some serious use, and give you my expert opinion. lol

|
| Kly,
If I get to play with one myself, I'll keep you in mind![;)] [:p] Besides, you didn't answer my question about the cost of an Elite Musky Rod. I'm only guessing, but they would run around $425 - $450. Would you consider one?
Please keep up the suggestions. My research on this is still going on and THANKS!!!
Rob[] |

| IF you got them I will buy them!
I sort of answered before, I will probably buy two.
