In talking with my fishing we got on the topic of muskies in Rainy Lake and wondered if the lake had muskies and if so if any of you guys fish for them...I know it has huge pike in it and some #*^@ big walleye but there never is anything said about muskies...just curious on any thoughts you guys have...

Rainy Lake Muskies- Yeah there in there! Most well tell you to fish in Canada waters but we have caught them in Jackfish Bay. Good Luck.

I've done well in Bleak, Redgut, and that area of the lake. Never fished Jackfish for muskies despite the fact the houseboat rental place I frequented just 'borrowing' a couple nights on a moored boat from the owner was situated right there. I see no reason there wouldn't be Muskies there, and it's great looking water. Rainy has a tremendous population of trophy pike, so I'm usually there targeting those fish first, and muskies second.

I have talked to a lot of Minnesota guys, the majority of the Muskies are in Redgut Bay. They are there, but the numbers obviously are not great.
