Location: Kenosha, Wi. | I was trying to find the post on trolling rods and could'nt find it. I thought I read about a few of you using the Shakespere rods and a few others. I know that this is the place to find this info out, any help? Thanks all!! |

Location: Green Bay, WI | I know a number of guys are using the Ugly Stick 8-9 footers for trolling. I haven't seen a thread on this forum, but have seen one in the MH forum. I may have just missed it though...

| Some good Shakespeare trolling rods are the 7' tiger sticks. Good for up to 6 or 8 ounce lures.Their big water boat rods and custom rods in 7' lengths are also good.Check out the bass pro shops web site for specs on these rods.I'm also pretty sure they carry the St.Croix 8' premier glass trolling rods which i am going to be trying out this year.I've always used e-glass rods for trolling and they are excellent.

Location: Minneapolis, MN | I love the Bass Pro CatMax rods. They come in 8, 9 and 10 footers. If your state allows multiple lines it's nice to have a spread of lines at various lengths when you need the tips in the water to keep the weeds off your line. |

| I use several rods for trolling. Down rods are 7 1/2 foot Gander Guide Series Planer board rods. Boat rods are either my 8' Clasic Cats, or Gander 8 1/2 foot Dipsey Diver rods. Planer board rods are Gander 9 1/2 foot Dipsey rods. I use 25 lb Big Game on all reels, and these rods work great for me. |
