I'm looking to put 50 fish in the boat, with at least one 50" (gotta aim high).
To improve:
-better short line trolling techniques.
-less dependence on past experiences, more experimentation.
-LESS glider throwing, more back to basics with cranks and topwaters.
And have FUN! |

Location: Brookfield, WI | I'd like to catch a couple before I go to AML in August. My wife tells me size doesn't matter, but having something above average would be nice for a change. I would like to get two at AML, one of those on a non-guided day, on a Pacemaker, about 5:30 in the afternoon, right before a thunderstorm. That's the plan anyway.
This fall, I would like to get seven or eight in a couple days fishing with Andrew in Indiana. This seems the most realistic of the three, as I understand by then he'll have learned to troll with ten lines, and I think it's easy to get three or four on at once on those Indiana numbers lakes.

A minimum of 2 tigers 45" or better to visit my Frabill (for my guests; I don't care about me on that one)
Visit some friends this summer and fish w/ them
My first true strain this summer (trip to Mn)
Try to stay in the neighborhood of 25 fish in the boat again this year
Get at least one tiger on a topwater and at least one one on a fly
Get my boys into more fish
Take lots of pictures w/ mountains in the background
Have just a little more fun than I did last year (this one's my loftiest goal of the bunch)

I'd like to catch some fish. Spend as much time as I can out there chasing them, as family permits.
I'd really like to get my 10-year old daughter into a fish without trolling and telling her, "Here, you take the rod."
Want to spend some extra time on some lure ideas that I have and get almost all of my lures painted before June 1st.
Once school is out, my daughter and I will be spending a lot of time together. I want to take advantage of these years before she starts to dislike her old man, and develops new interests that are cooler than hanging out with me.

| I just want to be able to look back on this year and say it was a great year fishing.
I guess if I had to narrow it down?
1. Break 48"
2. Have a 3 fish day
3. Catch the fish that shredded my black/orange bulldawg |
|
|

| Man, my schedule is scrambled eggs. I hope, time willing, to attain these goals:
1. Week in Canada, if time permits
2. a 50", always a goal until reached
3. more local fishing, weather and time permitting |

Location: north central wisconsin | Would love to duplicate 2005's size and numbers but with the child I am sure I will not do so for awhile. Besides, the wife gave me the green light last year and I was gone much more than I was around which helped boost them. One goal is to accept that, and it has actually been ok so far during the ice fishing season, and we'll see how the Musky season goes but I think it will be ok. Funny cause I just talked to the wife about the very subject, and we discussed how much I'd get to go out. We agreed that it would be cut in half.........so..... 35 fish in the boat and a couple 50's would be awesome, but at the same time, I would be happy to get half or a fraction of even those numbers and keep the wife and family happy. Another goal, to have our daughter in the boat when the wife cracks her first 50 this summer. She'll be 8 months old and ready to work a net by August........
Other goals: be more consistant on Green Bay in summer, start making the jerk bait i have been toying with, try to jig more, be more patient on 'C' or less waters where I know a big one awaits me....

| Learn a few new waters
Try not to fish the same spots I always do.
Put 25 in the boat.
Catch a fish worthy of a replica.
Spend as much time on the water as possible.
Fish a tournament

| Find more people willing to pull on the oars
Get my younger brother back into it
More out of the way lakes (if that's even possible)
Fish with all these crazy mofo's I've met this winter
Loose the knickname 'LLCoolJ"
Overall, if I can spend as much or more time on the water than last year, catch a few fish, avoid injury for once, if all that happens I can trade the 'Croixs for firearms in September with a big grin on my face.

Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | I started this year with the goal of boating at least one muskie in each month. Jan and feb I got skunked so now I'm shooting for i fish in the next 12 consecutive month. Im already on the board for march. What I guess this really is is a goal to get on the water more. Be safe and be good to each other out there. Pesonal best is always a gaol as well. I can deal with that even though it may not be a fifty. Not that I'd mind.
