Subject: Minn Kota Trolling Motor


I'm considering purchasing a new trolling motor. Choices are 2004-2005 Minn Kota Vector 74 Super-Duty Transom Mount with 3X Steering or 2006 Minn Kota Vector 70 or Vector 80 with 3X Steering. They appear to be almost the same, except for a new style lower unit and propeller on the 2006 models. Last year's model is considerably less expensive. IS THE NEW LOWER UNIT AND PROPELLER THE ONLY DIFFERENCE? IS IT WORTH SPENDING THE EXTRA MONEY? ARE THE MOUNTING BRACKETS THE SAME?

Location: Eau Claire, WI		You might get a little better feedback on Walleyefirst.com the muskie guys usually don't equip their rigs with transom mount trolling motors.
