Jeff,

I've had the same kind of year... The fish must be seeing over 40 baits a day. My best luck has been the "ODD" hours. Two hours after sunset and very early morings an hour before sunrise. Hit the same spots with the same lures it will pay off.I've used black against the full moon in past experiences and have had very good success. Good Luck and let me know how it goes.

Jeff, I fish the Fox Chain O Lakes most of the time and this has to be my worst year out there. But......with all of the big boats, waverunners, all species fisherpersons and the terrible weather patterns this year there seems to be one pattern that is working. I have found that fishing a little earlier with baits that have not been used or not that much on these lakes has been working. Baits that I would'nt have used on this chain are now working but you still have to work for the fish. Try that it may just work. Still have your confidence bait handy though. Hope this helps.

Jeff,

As Steve said, the best advice is to switch times. I have an easier time staying up all night than I do getting up early, so I hit it a couple hours before dark and come in when the guy I'm with poops out. The other piece of advice I have is to get off of the lakes and hit the rivers. Lot's of people have been having bad luck on the lakes with this loooonng Spring. The rivers warmed a long time ago and so did the fish in them. [:)]

Well heres what I did,I took some of that advice and changed locations(went deeper for suspended fish)and fished the river at dark!Broke my 2week bad streak and popped a fatty 44 1/2"er at dark.Even someone who has fished for a long time has to step-back,ask questions and not get in that same old rut and you truely can make your own luck!Thanx guys!Am keeping an OPEN MIND!!!!!
