What does everyone think of Smutley Dog Gliders. I wanted to pick some up and was wondering everyones take on them.

Good catchin bait, which comes with cheapo split rings - luckily....

Last June I managed to become attached to one treble through my wrist as a decent sized fish was still attached to the other. After a lot of spinning and thrashing from the fish the split ring twisted itself open and enabled me to unhook the fish from the bait before I could attend to myself. It really is amazing how much force it takes to drive a razor sharp hook through your wrist so you can cut the barb off......

I've got a couple of Smuttley Dogs and I really like them, Mark does a great job on his baits. He lives in WV (I mean, West by god Virginia) near another bait maker named Jack Cobb. Mark has learned a lot form Jack and it shows in the fine quality bait he puts out.

I love 'em. Great looking and working bait. The price isn't bad either when compared with some other hand mades. By the way, Mark water tests every bait before he sends them out. Heck of a nice guy and very accomodating. Oh yeah, the baits catch fish too.

Great baits. I use the largest size and it rolls on the glide somewhat like a phantom, only wider. Catches fish! Nice finishes too.
