Location: Brookfield, WI | I was wondering if anybody has any information on how his heart procedure went? I don't know him personally, but have greatly enjoyed the ridiculous banter he and I have engaged in over the last few weeks. He's a great guy.
I understand medical issues can be sensitive, and hope I'm not being rude.

| GLAD to be home! Thanks dude, and please accept our SINCERE gratefulness for yer prayers and well wishes; I can honestly say that having read yer thoughts Thursday night gave me a lift and peace that can't be expressed. There was 99% blockage in me right coronary that the doc was able to stent, so in a week or so I should be able to resume a more regular schedule. Dropped the 'rettes back in November, but I guess years of Velveeta sammiches, Pay Days, and various other pogy baitage finally took their toll. I will be grazing more for sure, and slowing down on the Coke Colas. Again, I can't thank you guys enough, you really did make a difference. If in the future there is anything I/we personally can do for any of you, DO NOT hesitate to ask... |

You need to start eating some of this untainted fish from Alaska...we haven't had time to pollute it yet. Glad your procedure went well. If you ever feel the need for a "painless" root canal you can just fly on up and we'll go salmon fishing after. Be good and don't be such a stranger.....like I am.

Glad to hear you are on the mend. You'd been gone so long, and then back for while, I was shocked to hear you were headed for the knife. Gooder news that you're feeling well enough to post today. Glad to hear you gave up the smokes. It's been 1 year and 2 weeks since me and the Mrs. quit. Ain't had one since, and ain't gonna again. Food never tasted so good, and the outside air up here in Greenville is like heaven! Try Coke Zero. Not the same, but it's as close as it gets. Sorry, but there is no substitute for Pay Days! I have one every great once in a while, just because.
You've got friends. Know that we are keeping you in our thoughts.

Stopped at Burger King on our way out of Madison to chow down-(Maybe I shouldn't have done that either!) was standin' there thinking about you & lookin' at the "Around the world Sponge collection". A little lift of mirth with each one I looked at and read their names, as I thought of you as a representation of each. Stick with it dude- great to have you back!

Now that payday candy bars and diet cola are out are you switching to soy milk and granola bars?
Is the local medicine man recommending that you start an exercising program? If so, you should consider starting slow, such as put a stationary bike or tread mill in the room with you.....Don't get on it, just get used to being in the same room with it! Gradually work your way into sitting or standing on it for a few minutes a day. Within a couple of weeks you should be ready to actually use it!

| Sponge, Glad to hear everything is turning out for you! Many people are playing Doc with you so I also want to add a program that hopefully won't be as traumatizing as some of those drastic life altering procedures. Use caution and good judgement as far as the ol' ticker is concerned, as I'm not a practicing Doc, but I did do 1st Aid on a dog once, when I was brave, back in my drunkered years. Seems like only yesterday though... Ah... yeah... I guess it was yesterday.
You might want to take it easy at first, then do it faster as you become
more proficient. It may be too strenuous for some.
Always consult your doctor before starting any exercise program!

| Thanks mucho for the encouragement peeps! I'm more normal than I've ever been Dawg, amxidu am biahu I not...?  Taint giving up dem GRITS Stever; just can't add 4 stix of butter/onion salt and a half bottle of Tabasco. Thanks for the laugh GUEST; a true gooder one! Took me awhile to scroll back up, but I gotta start somewhere...on a sadder note, 2 more family friends have died since Friday, and I gotta thank GOD I wasn't in the mix this time. Like Worrallster has always said, life is way too short, and we need to take care of ourselves and others while we can, and I can honestly say the folks on here walk the walk when it comes to caring, both in the past and present. Though I rarely show it, I've faced some knee bucklin' probs recently, both mentally and physically as we all do or will, and truely am grateful for you guys, each and every one. I only hope I can help someone in the future as I have been helped. Me wish now is that all will support Baby Mason's family, as their pain is far greater than can be imagined... |
