Quick Question -
Are the new Weagles sold at ThornBros the exact same as the old ones?
I heard the new ones were made of plastic - any truth?

Steve,

I am not trying to say you are a liar or anything like that, but my buddy showed me the weagle he picked up at a show and after holding it, it seems lighter and a fatter, and it doesnt feel like wood....possibly a different painting method or etex or something that would give it a different feel?

The guy that bought also said he asked about it at the show as well and was told it was slightly different and was easier to work. Could you help me out here....I still think it is a great bait and support you guys all the way. Thanks.

Mike

I think the difference is you can actually get them now?

The original very first Weagles are almost EXACTLY what is being made now. For two years I tried to duplicate the originals and some heavier ones were made due to the fact that is the only wood I could get.

Now they are simply the BEST ever made. And I don't make a penny off that either.

Great work Pumpkin head and Jonesi!

The new ones are the same weight as the first one ever made. That was the bait that I took off my rod, threw on the bottom of the boat only to have PK stick 4 fish on it. I've got 26 of the new ones in my shop right now that I'm painting in "McPerch" and they're right on.

yeah, what he said.

except the pumpkin head part...watch it Cady...

In all seriousness, yes they are somewhat lighter than the Weagles that Mr. Cady was selling last year, but like Steve and Shawn said they are almost the EXACT same weight as the ORIGINAL Weagle that started it all...the one that PK still owns.

I'll admit that I was skeptical at first as well, but then Shady took me to the river and showed me...SWOOSH, SWOOSH...almost got a hook in the pumpking too.

Any 10 inch Weagles coming out soon? I heard some were wondering around. If so, Thorne have any? I have a rod that needs a handle extension and would love to pick one up if it is there.

Thanks in advance!

I have had a chance to see the 10 inch and the baby weagle in the pool. They are an awesome bait with a bunch of action and sound.

The 10 inch moves a bunch of water and the baby really dances.

Nice work Luke.
