Hi guys, Im thinking about a two week trip to LOTW Sabaskong Bay mid September, does anybody have any experience fishing Sabaskong Bay and what tips could you pass on to make this trip as succesful as possible?

Hi Dave,
Sept is a great month on LOTW,
My buddies and I from WFO Outdoors have done really well that time of year.
Focus on all rock reefs/rock bars/ Saddles etc...
Focus on the upwind side of the reefs.
Most all weeds are dead this time of year and all the muskies move up/onto the rocks this time of year.
We have boated may of our fish on 8" Reef Hawgs, Eagle tails, Jakes & Bull Dogs

Pick up the book "Muskies on the shield" by Dick Pearson
The book covers where, when, why and how to catch muskies on the shield, Its pretty much the BIBLE for those shield lakes!
Read this book and you will want to be be going up there sooner!

That's a good time to do it.
To answer your question about success, there are some good guides up there who could show you around. Get a good hydrographic map and watch the rocks! . m
