Although Mason has reached heaven, we wanted to continue to help the Oberfoell's get through their rough time. The benefit auction will continue as planned and be renamed The Mason Memorial Benefit. If you have anything that you'd like to donate, it would be appreciated. Say a special pray tonight in memory of Mason.

If I fished anywhere but Eagle, I'd likely give a donation of a day of guiding...since I don't, I will come up with something!!!

Here is an email that I received from Josh Stelter with Hawg Seeker Tackle:

All of us at Hawg Seekers Tackle would like to extent our smypathy to the Oberfoell Family.
We would also like to take part in the auction by donating some of our baits.
Along with each of the baits listed below, we will throw in one of our new "Bassnatcher's" as a added thank you to the highest bidder for participating in the auction.

So the highest bidders will receive the set of two baits they are bidding on, plus get a "Bassnatcher" along with it. Bidders can choose from the colors in our line or if they would like to have the baits custom painted we will be happy to do that too.

These are to be sold as a package of two baits/plus bonus Bassnatcher.
Here is the list of baits being donated:

set # 1) 1-12" Hawg Teaser and 1-6" Rattle Hawg/plus 1 Bassnatcher

set # 2) 1-12" Hawg Teaser and 1-6" Boss Hawg/plus 1 Bassnatcher

set # 3) 1-10" Hawg Teaser and 1-Magnum Slow Tease/plus 1 Bassnatcher

set # 4) 1-10" Hawg Teaser and 1-9" Belly Dancer/plus 1 Bassnatcher

Hi,
We just received our cookbook that Mason's family put together, and I have two things to say.

One, the love this family has for each other is apparent on the pages of this book. Not only must Mason have been a special baby, but he was lucky to have been born into what seems to be a special family. My thoughts are with them during this sad time.

But for those of you who were thinking about the book, this is a great cookbook, as it not only has recipes but also recipes for some kid's craft stuff (like spray chalk and finger paints) that I can't wait to do with my nephew!

i talked to Adam and Cheri for awhile today at the Madison expo, and they were unable to put into words how thankful they are to everyone who is helping them out by donations, bids, gifts, and kind wishes.
they want you to know that after life returns to some semblance of normalcy that they will try to say thanks themselves.

Which will be totally unecessary, of course. My heart goes out to those two. I know what their pain is right now, believe me. ANYTHING I might be able to do, all that is needed is to point me that direction.
