Location: Madison Wi. Chain | Wondering what to look for in nothern Wisconsin for the best potential shot at a big fish. I am not concerned about numbers. What should I look for? i.e. stocking data, water type, forage, size of lake/water, any other misc. items. Thanks WH

| lakes with low density of muskies maintained by natural reproduction.
food = plentiful
pressure = low | |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | If the fish have a chance to get old, and the water chemistry is right, forage is good, and harvest severly curtailed with lighter angling pressure, you will find big fish. Kinda like the really huge WI strain fish in Mille Lacs, but how long do you suppose THAT will last with all the pressure/harvest that will most certainly happen there?

| That's the very reason Mn. is proposing 48 inch minimums. | |
