| Tom Oldenburg sent in a copy of this petition regarding the possible stocking of muskies into L.Neshonoc near La Crosse, WI. this stocking is something that the DNR supports, as well as a majority of local lake association members.
please review, and if you would like to support this, post a response message containing:
- your full legal NAME
- your CITY and STATE of residence
on or about March 10th, a representative from their local Muskies Inc. chapter will print off the digital "signatures" and include them with the other information they are presenting to the DNR.

Purpose:
This petition was started by the God's Country Chapter of Muskies Incorporated in support of introducing muskies into Lake Neshonoc, which is located in La Crosse County, Wisconsin.
A public forum was held in West Salem, Wisconsin on January 31, 2005 to discuss the proposed introduction. Representatives from the WDNR were present at the forum to address concerns
and answer questions, which people may have had on the proposed introduction. The audience was made up of Muskies Inc. members, Lake Neshonoc Lake District members, and members of the general public. Everyone at the forum was given an equal opportunity to express their favor or opposition to the proposed project. At the end of the forum, a count of hands showed approximately 3/4 of the people in attendance stood in favor of introducing muskies into Lake Neshonoc.
The purpose of this petition is to reinforce what was expressed at the forum; that being the large number of people in favor of the proposed plan to introduce muskies into Lake Neshonoc.

Lambeau - you may want to contact the different Muskies Inc. chapters to perhaps route a petition through their next meetings. It may be a way to get a lot more signatures. Sounds like you guys are doing the right thing. Good luck. |
