I have a little news about bucher split rings in the Olive Drab and Military Black color.
I received a letter a couple of weeks ago from The Worth Co., who is the actual maker of those rings, stating that the olive drab color is no longer being offered! The reason given was that the process necessary to apply those coatings has been found to be hazzardous to their employees while in a liquid state! Now, there are still thousands of these rings out in the stores through out the country but when those are gone they are gone; at least in those familiar colors!
These VERY SAME RINGS are available in both Nickle and Zinc coatings however. If I can get enough interested parties I will again purchase these rings and offer them for sale at a fair price. I know that sizes 4, 5, and 7 are available because I recieved samples of those 3 sizes last week and I can say that, other then the color, these ARE THE SAME RINGS! If anyone is interested in these "new" color of ring, please contact me directly at:
[email protected]
Quantities will be divided into bags of 250pcs, 500pcs, and 1000pcs with large quantities available. The cost of these rings will be: 250pcs/$9.00, 500pcs/$17.00, and 1000pcs/$30.00 + Shipping on all quantities. Please do not forget that prices for mailing and the actual cost of the materials has gone up as of 01/08/06. I have found that the best shipping is still the post office at a Flat Rate Box for $8.10 and that box will handle about 30 bags of 1000pcs, just to let you know.

I never heard anything back last time after posting in this thread:
http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=21...

but I'll still take 250 size 5 and 250 size 7, please. Nickle is fine.

Thanks,

Sure now they find it's hazardous after I made thousands of them. I can tell you the chemical bath that it went it was nasty stuff, it made your eyes water and cough real bad when you mixed the powder with water to reconstitute it.

Has the order been placed yet? If not I'd like to get in on it. Pat

I'd take 1000 of each of the #5's and #7's.
