Location: Mallard Island Lake Vermilion MN | Someone you all don't know told me a long time ago...A long time ago.
I had it tapped into a rock I keep some place special.
You love to go fishen
So go you should Tom.
Don't do it for money
Do it to enjoy it, keep it simple an light, as you do it to do it.
To get fish to bite.
Discover your own way to understand fishes and how to cast well
learn what is under the surface of the water you love.
How to work the lures you favor for how YOU like to fish
make them sing a sweet song so you get them to bite.
So you smile when they work or simply just go zip, zip, zip.
Lures are a dime a dozen now a days, there is only one you.
Take a handful of luv, grab some baits you like too
Explore, listen more than you speak, remember an share your mistakes and most important have fun.
Still read an think of this often.
Time and again and again.
Makes me smile a lot, maybe some of you too.
T.

Location: Brookfield, WI | Let me see if I understand you. It seems your poem is saying that fishing because you love it is better than a sharp stick in the eye? That's crazy man. Be miserable like most people. Try the sharp stick. There's more money in it. Encouraging people to do something they love should be against the law. Whoever told you that should be in jail.
Kevin
The plan is acting weird tonight. |

Location: Presque Isle Wisconsin | Its good to read those things Tom.Fishing should always be an act of the heart.I would trade every big muskie Ive ever caught and the money Ive made doing it just to spend another day in the boat with my friend friend Bob that passed away a few years ago. Thanks for reminding me of what really matters. |
