Who uses them and for what purpose(s)? I've got one that I was throwing small-medium bucks and spinnerbaits on, but have since replaced it with a different rod. Can these be used for trolling smaller baits?

I love using lighter rods even for trolling.I use 7ft. ugly sticks with Abu 5500 reels and 30lb. Power Pro.You can really feel the lure, and the fish.Even though a nine inch Grandma is one of my favs for trolling.Iwouldn't go bigger then that. Most people probably would't recommend this but it sure is fun feeling a nice fish on this rod.

After a day of tossing 4-8oz lures with 6-9 to 7-6 heavy rods, you'll be amazed how well a 7-0 mediem feels. A great way to take a break or to toss lighter baits. Fig Rig has a 7-0 medium Tooth Tamer that's awsome. Great rod for early spring spinners, twitchers, jigs, and Rapala's.

GMG,

That's the one I've got (actually the 7'6"). Nice rod, hate to part with it. We'll see if I can find a niche for it. Thanks, guys!

Toss some Husky jerks with it, you'll have a hard time going back to a 7-6 MH.
