Do you pros jig for muskies in the Spring? Do you use the same types of jigs in the Spring as you would in the Fall?

Matt,

I am not much of a Jigger.

I will use Spring Dawgs, Creatures and Reapers in the spring when I have active fish follow but not strike the lure. They work great as cast back baits.

The extent of my jigging in the Fall is working a Bull Dawg like a jig. Awesome bait!

I have never had much patience with jig fishing - but I am learning!

Killer tactic, use a little more compact jig in the Spring, a jig and pig combo or a jig and grub. Lizards and creatures in the Fall.

I have an upcoming article on springtime jigging in the next issue of Musky Hunter Magazine. Stay tuned! Great tactic that can really start your season off with a bang!
