About 200 attended over the evnening, buying and selling lures and Muskie equipment. Sue and I had a great time talking to anglers from across the country. Official's Time Out in Hoffman Estates provided a great room for the event, and a waitress who was overworked big time running for food and drink. Thanks to all who attended and sponsored the Swap!

Here's the link to the photo album for the event:

Got a couple nice baits @ the swap. A Lounge Locker '99, and a Hooker jr. Good to see the Muskiefirst crew. Alot more people than last year! Growing by leaps and bounds .....

Cool. Wish I could have been there! I have a pile of stuff to trade. I was wondering about the third photo down. Are those Musky Magnet cranks hanging on that pail? It is hard to tell. If so, I would like to get ahold of the guy trading them if he still has them. Probably an outside shot, but thought I'd give it a try.

That last pic looks like a typical southern PROM NIGHT ...just one of many reasons I never went to mine! Where's WALDO?

Very cool swap.

Lots of baits, rods, reels, etc sold or swapped for something else. I learned that one mans junk is another mans treasure. I found two great deals I jumped on.

I will be ready with over 100 lures or more for the Milwaukee swap. I think I can weed a few out.

Saw a lot of familiar faces in the pics Steve posted. Wish I could have been there to share a beer with many.

Once a FIB always a FIB.

It was alot of fun. Fishi8, his wife, one of his friends and myslef were the last to leave. I got 2 tr twitchers and a bigger version of a hawaiisbest60 topwater that I really like.

They definitely needed another 3-3 waitresses for sure, was easy to get thirsty in there, still alot of fun.

Reef Hawg,

Those baits are Lokes and they all went...

Had a great time at the Swap. Thanks for setting it up again Slamr. Great room setup! Service was weak... Poor waitress was working her tail off...

Good to see you still around Al; seemed most of the "not too serious" peeps vanished! Swap meets here usually involve elderly relatives, cousins, Pabst Blue Ribbons for Falstaffs, lawn ornaments etc. At any rate, appears to have been a fun time for all, thus deeming the show a success. One of Spongettes' brothers moved to Chicago last year from Tampa Bay; I'll have to find out the area and such. Been a long time since I 'ski fished; may head to Cave Run this spring and pirate Crash's boat a day or 2! Take care dude...

Sponger,

How've the Rockfish been hitting? I need to get out there someday and catch a couple of those things, I understand one can even eat them if one wishes. Spring on the Cave is a good idea, we just happen to be planning a trip to the Cave in March. I bet a Payday and a Coca Cola there will be several open boat seats available!

Hey Stever! Been a good while since I went; the run this year was spotty, although some pals loaded up a few days here recently around Oregon Inlet. Son of Sponge is now 9.5, so free time is limited getting away. Post the CR outing, I'll see whaz up then; need to do something other than knitting and house work!
