| Has anyone on here fished this lake?Im sure some have, any insight as to how good it is. Qualities of the lake-water color-forage-action or trophy lake.
The old lady's parents are renting a cottage there in August and asked us to come up for the week. Just kind of want to know if I should fish it or hit the surrounding waters. The chip or LCO. What about Owen lake also. anyone do any good there? |

| Not a good Numbers lake, but some big fish there. Good structure.  |

Location: The desert | I believe it has a 50" limit, at least it did several years ago.....I caught a lot of snakes the day I was on it!

| Fished Namakagon Last July, Stayed at Stoudemires 4 Seasons, nice folks, good bar, great Cabins.
Lots of cabbage, very stained water, it is a flowage. Good breakline weed beds, into 20-30 feet. Overall, the lake has a few deeper areas, 50 feet or so,
most of the action is in the weeds or on the breaks. Caught only one musky in the week we were there, but a nice one- 47" on a Hang Ten.
Lots of pike, largest was 38".

Location: Contrarian Island | Nam, does have a 50" size limit...it is a good lake for big fish and does have decent numbers... a couple years ago I stopped at the Garmisch resort bar and they had a photo album behind the bar of a local guide..he looked young..maybe 30 tops...I seem to think his last name was Schmidt or something like that? He had an unbelievable photo album from fish I presume were mainly from Namekagon...I'd get him as a guide in a heartbeat should I ever fish it...for a lake map go here:

| thanks, I appreciate the info. been on lake link and elsewhere, not too much to talk about. a 50 inch limit is nice to know. I like cabbage too! |

Location: Iowa | Fished it in October of this past season and stuck my personal best...a fat 49 x 21 inch big girl...great lake at that time...i don't know about august. seems to be more of a recreation lake to me during the summer than during the fall...going back next October too...good luck
