I like the Columbia's the best. Make sure that the collar buttons down. Nothing like getting beaten with your collar blasting down the lake @ 60 mph.

Cabela's Guidewear. It's nice and cool even on hot days. It's like fishing in the shade. They are well worth the money. I don't leave home without one.

Second what Mallard said. I got burned BADDDDD one summer, and because of that and all the skin damage bought two of the Cabelas shirts.

GUIDEWEAR from Cabala's - the best by far. Very well thought out pocket placement. The Suplex matierial is extremely comfortable. I beat mine and they still look new. Get the Zip - off pants and you are set.

Columbia's with the roll up sleeves, the vents and the SPF 40+ sun protection.
I watch Gander for them to go on sale and usually end up paying about 20-25 bucks.
I've got about 4 different colors now and actually really like fishing with them.
They are very cool, already stated "like fishing in the shade".

I fished for a ton on years in a T-shirt with the sleeves cut off and cut off sweatpants. This was a big fashion step for me....

Air Strip shirts by Ex Officio. A little more expensive, but I wait to buy mine until I see them on sale at REIoutlet.com. There is nothing I can think of that I would change about these shirts. Light, strong, well-built, and a great set of pockets, including a velcro patch to hold your backlash toothpick.

there are a lot of good brands, just make sure they are the "suplex" type stuff...every once in a while you'll run into shirts that look like guidewear supplex but are cotton--I know columbia makes some like that. the supplex/nylon hangs dries almost instantly and hangs better than cotton

Guest is correct about the supplex. It dries fast and doesn't need ironing if taken out of the dryer before completely dry. However, cotton still provides the best comfort level in hot, humid weather. I use both and wear them all year in Canada and here in Florida. The best buys are Columbia and World Wide Fisherman (BassPro). I have at least a dozen in all colors.

I second the Ex Officio shirts. Between my wife and I, we have 8 or 10. Love'em.
