Now, we've all known women who were "experienced". These women are commonly referred to as "sluts". As "experienced" musky fishers does that make us "Musky Sluts"??

I can see it now:

Musky Slut Guide Service
"Because Experience Counts"

What about the guy in the back of the boat fishing "used" water. What does that make him???

Anybody else have any thoughts???? Slamr????

Experienced muskie fishermen have a certain aroma about them. I think "Slimers" or just plain "Slime" would be good.
Women think that all men are scum.
I say we all are "Slime."
Say it loud....I'm slimy and proud! [:praise:]

Actually, a slut would be defined as giving it away, the guides you reference are also in it for the money and I'm sure we don't want to take this any farther than that. m

Guys who bring lunch, or promise to put you on a "secret" lake or spot just to get a day on the water in your boat....those are "Musky Sluts".
People who do something because they CAN'T stop, eventhough they know that sometimes it is bad for them, and can lead to long term negative effects....those are ADDICTS! Woman who need to have sex (I know a few, always showing up at my house, laying down in front of my car to stop me from leaving....) those are sex addicts. Men, like us, who can't stop fishing, even when its raining, snowing, or even dangerous conditions....we're addicts. If you dream about it, never stop thinking about it, HAVE TO HAVE IT...then you are a Muskie Addict!!!! "Hello my name is Slamr, and I'm an addict"

My musky experience has been limited to a few SMALL fish, most of them lost....BUT....having "prostituted" my self on this board daily, I feel somewhat qualified to join the rest! I think Jason S. had a good name..... [:sun:]

TTT
Hello, my name is Beaver and I'm a muskieholic.
Call to order this meeting of MA.
Now we have to come up with a 12 step program.
Step #1...admit that we are powerless over our compulsion to chase the mighty beast, no matter what the cost or consequences.
Step #2...beleive that there is a power out there to save and guide us....also known as "IT"
Step #3...Made a decission to turn our life over to the guiding influence in us..."IT"
Step #4...Took a look at ourselves to discover our shortcomings as anglers
Step #5...Admitted to ourselves and to others what our shortcomings are and asked for help
Step #6...Made ourselves ready for "IT" to come into our lives
Step #7...HUMBLY asked for "IT" and asked for help in removing our shortcomings, remembering that "IT" is a gift given to us by a higher power
Step #8... Made a list of all the people we have PO'd because of our addiction
Step #9... Asked forgiveness from all our family members and friends who we left at home or standing on the dock while we went in search of muskies and "IT"
Step #10...Continue to take personal inventory and when we screw up, say 'damnit' and keep looking for "IT"
Step #11...Seek through prayer and meditation and videos and magazines and web sites the knowlege that we will need to continue with our search
Step #12...Having been awakened and made aware of our addiction because of these steps, carry this message to other addicts and help them in their journey to discover "IT"

What night should we meet? I know some of us will need more help than others. But we have to help oneanother to keep members from turning into carp fishermen.

Bad news boys...have done extensive research lately (talked to my team of therapists, research pyschologists, searched the net [minds out of the gutter for a moment!] and even consulted a woman who stated she could read my palm....only to run out of the room screaming in terror) and have realized that there is no known cure for the condition known as "Addictus Muskellungis". Though this may not be the best news if you are searching for a cure, my psychiatrist prescribed a steady in-take of time on the water, to be supplemented by chat sessions, swap meets and general b-s-ing about muskies, for a suppression treatment plan. If any of your significant others begin to have difficulties with your condition, they can speak to my medical advisors, they maybe able to help them understand your condition, and will then help you to implement a more aggressive treatment plan. I hope this helps all of you.

SSSSLLLLAAAAMMMMRRRR,
I'm not looking for a cure, because there isn't one. But because we all suffer from the same desease, we should look to others like ourselves for comfort and help. That's why we visit here daily. This is our therapists couch.
The doctor will see you now.
