Well Guys, the lines have been drawn. I met the weagleman and examined the real McCoy.
I also for the sake of fairness looked at the competition. Now, i cant say that the knockoff wont catch fish or work, cause it probably will. BUT, it is not the same size, or identical to the real McCoy. I'm not gonna get into wood or China or all THAT..... Because Hey, everyone has a right to make a buck. God bless the USA!!! Everything successful today is copied, ask Dale Wiley!!! But for my two cents, I'm gonna stick with the real Weagle.
Plus i like to buy lures from guys i know and like, and Steve is a good guy despite all of his imperfections. Best to all, Pikiespawn

it has never been hard to find or buy. cheap actually compared the what they go for on ebay.
you just have to watch the site when they were available in the past. steve never played favorites or let people reserve them, but they weren't mass produced either.

Supply/demand folks.

and, i have held those "other" baits. maybe someone else will throw them to see. i assume they're not the same. close? possibly, just as good? who knows.
i'll throw my weagle, u throw your whatever. it's all in what you like anyway. it doesn't matter anyway anymore fellas. no animosity here either, don't take it that way. i just like them, so why change, ya know.

they're just freakin wood and hooks.

true dat! i seen it in person. but, why buy a datsun when you want a porsche? especially if the datsun is only hmmmm. 15% cheaper.

i seen "other" baits being sold for not much cheaper when there was 20 real ones sitting right next to me the first um....8 or so hours or the show.

i also seen some other, very eye opening things that i didn't like or appreciate from people i didn't expect it from, but thats a whole other story not meant for my written thoughts.
Pittsburgh people have a stigma that precedes them for a reason. there are some good ones left though.

maybe im just biased for some ugly reason.
