Just got back from my buds bacholar party, marriage. We fished with him for the going away to marriage part. Hit these three lakes, and systems. Little Boy was a about normal. Decent size, decent activity, best fish between twelve guys was a 44. Lady was poochy. Same guys, one raise, but a dandy about upper forties. Whitefish was really good. Six fish, small one 37, best 47. Little Boy was top water, dancing raider, Lady was kitchen sink with no reply. Whitefish was bucktail, black tail, gold, not brass blade, in the seven to nine inch size, with the willow blade, run slow on the first half, and sort of burned up to the boat. Strikes came on the mid-cast. Hope this helps someone. God I miss Minnesota.[:((]

Sorry didnt check this for a while. i thought I mentioned that, but yes there is an amount of fishing there to be had. The last lake in the chain down the Whitefish chain I believe is Kimble. Muskies there. Good luck. they are there!

Thanks for the info dan! I wrote the "anonymous" post, just hadn't registered yet. Very interesting! They must have migrated their way upstream from the mighty Mississippi.

Like I said the last lake is Kimble, I suppose instead of saying the "chain" I should have just said Kimble. My apologies if I confused you, or anyone else, that was not my intention. I didnt trully pay all that much attention, but I suppose that is the point to giving a tip, pay attention to what you are saying. Again, I apologize for any confusion. By the way the Mississippi doesnt come anywhere near there, but the Pine river is fairly close.

The Pine River flows to the Mississippi though. So they most likely migrated their way from the Mississippi up the Pine River and to kimble lake (or whatever lake it is).
Thanks again for the info!

Dan,

Kimble as in Kimball Lake? North of lake Ossiwanamakee? Muskies? Have you seen one or caught one? Have you seen more than one? My In-laws have land very near there and I have fished it but never for muskies....If what you say is correct that would be great!
