| What is the lake you will fish first this year and what lure is the first one you are going to throw.
I'll probably be on the Madison Chain, Pewaukee, or La Vieux if I can get out early and away from my walleye guiding. Probably throwing a Rizzo Wizz.

| Fortunately here in Stevens Point U.S. Hwy 10 runs through so I can fish the southern opener on the Wisconsin River below the spillway. Hot action there in the spring with the huge walleye run, I will probably hit it with small hot bucktails, and even some Topraiders if they are aggressive. |

|
| Southern Wisconsin opener I will probably make a stop at Little Green and toss a lure of my own design. For the northern opener, I will hit my favorite gin bottle and catch the first open water cisco cruching slob of the season on a suspending deep diving crankbait AFTER I hit my favorite dark water flowage.

| Cave Run Kentucky-March
Could be a big spinnerbait in flooded bushes or timber.
Could be a Rattle Trap
Could be an Undertaker or Cobb
Could be a 5" Slammer twitched over a flat
Could be a Texas rigged Creature flipped through somebodys back yard if the water is too high.
I know where, but what depends on the circumstances.

|
| I'll probably see Bill S. on Pewaukee, but not so early unless I'm in the Muskie Inc.Tounrament.Will throw a bluegill spinnerbait to start. |

| My choices if all goes correctly
1)March- Green River Lake, not sure
2) as soon there is open water in Iowa- pleasant creek lake- Salmo crankbait
3)when the lake opens- Sterling lake, IL- not sure but out of a canoe!
4)May 4th- Okauchee- shad rap
5)When season starts Michigan- Burt Lake- Shad rap
6)June 15th- Cedar Lake, One of my own bucktails
etc.
etc.
etc.

| Either Badwater Flowage or "The Crappie Pond" maybe with husky jerks, ristos and good old Buchertail700. Man, seems like a long ways off.[:((] |

| Already have the plan of attack down cold: start BIG (10" and 8")....go super slow, thinking the cold weather may slow down the fish a tad. Work the deep breaks (probably 35yards from the break) with a really slow side to side or slowrolling dawg bait. Going to fish baits slow, move the boat fast....trying to mark forage. If the forage doesnt show itself there.....going to break down and troll, once again looking to mark forage, this time in open open open water. Mark some, drop a buoy and cast the spot with a slow deep presentation. If a no go on the trolling or forage location....then going shallow, with slow twitchers played above the new weed growth. If no dice on that, maybe trolling spinnerbaits over the same water. If I try all these attempts and see nothing....B**B Bar!!!

| Either Evergreen or Kinkaid or possiblely shelbyville. If it is Evergreen March Husky Jerks, Rizzo Tails, and pulling a small sucker. If it is Kinkaid in March whatever Al Nutty tells me to throw he gives you straight info even if you are not using him as a guide. Shelbyville would be twitch baits in the Laydowns. Can't wait.[:sun:] |

| The prevous post was warmup spots before the Great MuskieFirst Caverun Shootout, there I will use whatever Tony Grants suggests and after a spy mission(checking the other guy's boats hehe).[] |
|

|
| Probably not a big surprise, but it will be Kinkaid Lake throwing a 10" Jake unless the lake has become an ocean from all of the rain we have gotten down here[:knockout:] |
|
| |
|
| I just returned from Kinkaid and started out trolling a 100 spoonplug. Casting, I used a jump type lure. caught 3, 2 trolling 1 casting. [:praise:] |

|
| Probably a Rizzo Wiz, orange blade w/ black tube, on probably one of the lakes on the Madison Chain. Later, when the Northern Wisconsin lakes are open, I'll be throwing the same bait on High Lake.

| I hope to try my local lake with some 6" Believers custom painted by Stan Durst. Great flash and very different from what the fish are used to. I also purchased some Lucky Craft Pointer 128 jerkbaits. These are oversized bass or saltwater baits that have flash just like the baitfish in my lake. Very new lures that just got in the stores and catalogs that are very realistic looking. |

|
| Going to the cave to give my white undertakers another workout..Then the Fox Chain in April...Then Pewaukee in May....5" Golden shinner Slammer will be the first one pitched...always a big producer. |
|
| |
|
| Wisconsin River South of Highway ten will get alot of pounding from me before the northern opener. 6" Jakes, Jack Attacks, Reef Hawgs, and jackpots will get the nod. |
