Location: Monee, Illinois | Okay I have been bass fishing for 20 years, and musky fishing now for 4 years. Last year we all heard about the weagle......what have been the BUZZ (no pun) baits the last 10 years that came out like weagle. Please post pictures if you have them how about the last 20 years. Was is it new line, new rods, new lures, new leaders, new boats. A little history here I guess.......Oh how many weagles and jitterbugs have there been...

Buchertails
Musky Buster Bucktails
Hughes River Gliders
Boo Tails
Giant Jackpot
Bull Dawg
Top Raider
Undertaker
Fuzzy Duzzit
Just a few that created a buzz awhile back. Of course, there were lots of 'new' lures, but these were talked about alot. Many were developed before the internet, so it took longer to get the word out. The Weagle/Wabull is 100% an internet driven thing, much of which started right here.
Some tackle that was all the buzz...
Lew's Speed Spool Reels
Boron rods
Shimano Musky reels
Super lines
St Croix Musky rods
Fenwick Musky rods
the expensive customs, pick one...
Fig Rig
Musky Hunter Magazine, Dan Laubenstein and Joe Bucher
Thunder on the Water Television Show
Esox Angler
the 1984 Muskie Symposium
Tuffy Boat's 154
Tuffy Boats Esox
Yar Craft Boat's Deep V series
Ranger Boat's Fisherman series
4 stroke motors
The most influential Muskie items to come along in the last 25 years are the internet Muskie sites. Now it's minutes, not months, for information to become available about new products, how folks like them, and what big fish were caught on what new lure.
The best conservation item? Graphite Muskie replicas.
