Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I've fished it for Muskies, like the lake alot. It has a very limited amount of deep water, so that has a tendency to concentrate the fish. I've never fished it for anything but muskies, though. |

Location: searchin for 50 | It is a good lake, lots of weeds a lot of shallow water. As far as fish there are perch, bluegills, northerns and of course muskies. Ihaven't seen any monsters in there just average fish 35" - 40'' . It gets a fair amount of pressure. oh yeaand theres also walleye in there too.  |

| If you like to fish for suspended muskies it is a good lake. More known for the walleyes. I believe it was or still is the lake with most walleyes per acre in the state. Those were according to boom shocking results. It has lots of shallow water as mentioned before. The "kettle" is nice to set up drifts across, watch your depth finder and you will mark lots of fish, mostly walleyes. When I fish it for muskies I focus on and around the kettle. Learn it on a calm day so you can learn the drop-offs as they come up quick. Don't be afraid to use marker bouys to show you where there at. I use mostly straight and jointed cranks in walleye and perch colors. A topwater in the early am. and evening in the shallow surrounding the kettle, cast the edge of the deep water. |
