Subject: Cabela's Rod


Has anyone had experience with the Cabela's 7' 6" muskie rod. Durability in particular? Action seems really nice.

Nice rod. The foregrip is pretty small which is alright if you palm your reel. It also has a lifetime warranty from Cabelas. Not bad for only $80.

I use one for bucktails and small crankbaits. The first one I had broke when I believe it shouldn't have but I love the replacement. Its low-priced and very lightweight.

Thanks for the input, how did iyour rod break?
I am thinking of ordering several blanks while they are still on sale.
The action just seems so great!

Been using the rod for years. Broke a few in below freezing temps on hook sets. Cut down to 6'9" it makes a great jerk bait rod. I mainly use the cut down version now. Like the thinner handle.

I've had one for a few years that has landed my son and I several muskies with no problems. A great rod for the money.
