| Dumb question ... When rigging a reaper tail on a jig, should the the tail be perpendicular to the hook, or should it be rigged so that the tail and hook are vertically aligned. Any difference? | |

| I've always rigged mine parallel to the hook on stand up jigs, but have tried laying them flat behind swimmer heads. If you lay 'em flat, make sure that there is a slight upward curve in the body. That gives you some good tail falp as you reel in the bait. For stand-ups, keep 'em as straight as you can...right down the seem.
At least that's what I do.

| Ditto Beav's answer.
I keep trying but have yet to connect on plastics.

| Nip the tip off the reaper, and put a drop of super glue on the hook shank as you slide the reaper on to the hook.
I use the rig perpendicular if I want faster drop speeds and better weed cutting, and flat fishing the stones with a diamond head.[8)] | |
