Never been there and coming from the Twin cities. Not sure if I can make a trip this year or not, but am interested. How long does it take to get to these lakes from the Cities?

about 12 hours to Kinkaid and about 14-15 to the cave

just do it to carbondale IL....I lived down there for some time, but cannot recall the zip...

Wow Ben, you didn't kill all of your brain cells when we used to live together back in the crazy days!! I am impressed. Kinkaid is in the town of Murphysboro, but Carbondales zip code of 62901 will definitely work to get directions. Murphysboro is the next town over.

If you want to Mapquest morehead it is 40351. I have driven to the cities several times it takes 13 to 14 hours.

Snowing like a dog here. The ramp is slippery since we got about 5 inches of snow. The main lake is open, but not sure about all the boat ramps. It is goingto be around 10 F with a high around 25 the next couple days. Good Luck
