when u can make 10 leaders in about 30 minutes with NO sore fingers.
when your dad, who taught you to fish, and got you into fishing tells u "enough is enough George" LOL
when you DO turn too wide with the truck and DONT have to look in the passenger mirror to see if the trailer tire will clear the curb.
when your thumbnail has a noticeable divit from checking hooks
when SHE realizes that if SHE gets a job at the new sportsmans warehouse, SHE will be saving YINS money cuz of the 20% discount, being that u'd have bought it at list price anyway!!!! thanx honey!!! MWAH!!!best Christmas present ever, ol'lady gets a job at an outdoor retailer!!!!!
when all your hooks are sharp, baits organized, reels maintained, rods oiled and hanging up and the plaster and paint in the foyer is falling away cuz of the gutter problem you didnt have time to fix during down time this year.
when you have to steal rock salt for the steps and sidewalk from the salt box or from work cuz you dont have any leftover money to buy 5.00 worth due to the bait trade board, ebay and the kly auction.
ur daughter runs around with her muskie baby from muskyhunter yelling "Muckie, Muckie, a BOAT, A BOAT!!!!"
and finally
said 2 year old daughter still picks up baits, gets "bit" by hooks and doesn't even flinch.
its only been 18 months for me with these stupid fish. i figure by the time reagan is 18, she'll have had lead poisoning from holding too many baits, musky knuckle by the age of 4, hooked me 7 times while fishing and hopefully caught her first musky by 8 years old.

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | I can't park in a normal stall anymore...I'm so used to having a boat on the truck, I always park in the back of the lot taking up 4 spaces.
Also, when heading north with no boat on the truck, I always find myself checking my rearview and side mirrors every 2 minutes to see how the boat is doing....its a habit now. I dated a woman recently who asked me..." John, what are you worried about?"....I'm like "Nothing Julie, Why?", she said..."You keep checking your mirrors like there's a cop behind you." |

Baits are hung dangerously about your loft waiting for their next drunk victim to wander in and put their hand through it.

Location: Athens, Ohio | I was trout fishing with my kid in 2004 and was 8-ing the little spinner next to the boat.
He gave me a hard time about it until I got one on the second turn.
He asked me the other day, "Dad, what do you want for Christmas? You already have enough baits......."
