Just a quick note to say thanks to all for the support you showed for my friends wife.

http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=21...

I got a call while at Steve's place last night letting me know that Tracy passed away peacefully in her sleep about 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night. With all that she's been through in the last 6 months... 4 brain surgeries, 2 bouts of radiation, 1 bout of chemo and a lot pain that she endured, she deserves her rest now. She fought to the end, as of last Friday, she even wanted to plan a trip to Madison with my wife and daughters for pizza and shopping. Just thought those of you who posted might want to know.

Jeff admitted that he is at a loss and doesn't know what he'll do next. We will keep an eye on him and help him through this tough time.

Thanks again to all of you for your thoughts and assistance.

Scott

I remember when my mother passed away from cancer....Her bout was close to 7 months long..both chemo and radiation. She also fought until the end and it is hard to deal with. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her.

But....as in Jeff's case, his wife is "HOME" now. She can look down and enjoy in peace.

Time is the healer here and over time, what remains are the good memories. And THAT is what keeps her alive!!!

Thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff, family and friends.

Steve

Scott,
They are in my prayers as are you.
We just buried my uncle about 4 months ago after battling small cell lung cancer which spread to the brain. He fought hard and lived well beyond the doctor's expectations with generally good health. He is resting well now as is your friend's wife.
My wife is a career oncology nurse of 20 years. To say I'm proud of what she and others in that field do would be insufficient. They would all say you are on the right track, Scott. Take good care of your friend and his family. They certainly need the phone calls and a listening ear.

That's so sad to hear, but as you said, it sounds as if she suffered through a lot in the past six months.

Your friend is very lucky to have a friend like you.

Scott- Please offer Jeff & the family our most sincere condolences. They will be in our prayers. The "why Tracy" we never will be able to answer. But God has a plan for us all.
