Backwater ramp was closed over the weekend because of ice.. rain may have thawed some, Sure Alan might know on that one since he was down there tues.. get there early if you do go as parking spots at open ramp will be gone early i am sure...

I'd guess you still might be able to get in at the dance hall on TJ. The ramp at Petey's, Kuhn and Backwater had quite a bit of ice last friday. Warm weather since then but a pretty good cold snap here in the last couple of days. Good luck.

Muskie Mike and others, I was out there too. Looks like that is it for the Red Musky Rocket this year, and the back of the Boat (Matt) puts the last musky of the year in the boat and he also put the biggest (lucky soand so ###**) too. Come on spring. Al

There are a couple of 30yd. holes out in the middle of Webster. Tippecanoe is still open but you have to find a place to get on. The Tippy dance hall ramp has a lock and chain on it.

Anyone know what the heck the deal is with the lock and chain at the Tippy Ballroom launch?

That's not something they do each year this time of year is it?

Other than the Ballroom and Pie Eyed Petes....are there any other public launches on Tippy?

new owners bought the ramp acess area so who knows. grassy creek is another option, but as we found out yesterday you would definetly need 4wd to get up the hill. grassy also can be a pain to get your boat thru if it is shallow. intakes can clog easy.

Patona Bay on the nothwest corner of Tippy is a possibility. I imagine their channel is iced in too though.

Going to try and make it out on Tippy tomorrow. I found a key to the ramp! It was still 75% open this afternoon. All the other area lakes are frozen shut.

Grassy is not worth the trouble. Barbee Chain is down a lot, 12-15" easy, making Grassy very shallow. If you are not familar with Grassy best to avoid it.

Not going out today...my buddy that has a key to the ballroom launch didn't want to go. He said we are going out tomorrow for sure (we will see). I am dying to get back out there. Tippy is still 75% open. You can't even see any ice from the dance hall launch!
