Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How many of you ice fish during the winter? Sue likes ice fishing crappies and gills better than fishing them in the Summer, ask Theedz. |

| since musky fishing has replaced my summer pan/walleye fishing to fill my freezer, I have to go ice fishing just to get some good fish on the table.
I usually hit first ice really hard for gills/crappie and perch. then I'll move onto walleyes and norts. anyone want to buy an aquaview. pm me. |

Location: north central wisconsin | Every day that I can chase pike on the flowages by day, and meso lakes for walleyes by nightfall, I am out. Wife and I simply love as much as my other outdoor activities....well almost. Will be nice to have good ice early in the season for a change. Should be driving out before Christmas for the first time in years.

Location: Roscoe IL | Now that's a PIKE!! NICE!!
Only ice fished once and I froze my @ss off sitting on a bucket in the wind. Caught a tiny bluegill on a wax worm. Hands were so cold I could barely get the darn snot looking things on the hook.
If I could fish out of a nice shanty I would give it another shot. The pictures of the fire make it look like a total blast!! I could do that no problem.... Party on.... |

| I used to ice fish a lot. Nothing but panfish for this guy.
I build my own sticks out of fly rod 2nds and big cork handles and spring bobbers out of the inside of Bic lighters. 2# yellow Stren with tippet material at about a pound and a half. Used to fish quite a bit, but hockey keeps me busy on weekends now. I'll have to make some mid-week trips out to the Mississippi River backwaters where I drill about 20-30 holes a trip and work each hole for about 15 seconds and then move on. Hardly ever fish deeper than 6 feet.
In fact, I think there is an article about my mentor on this site somewhere. Probably on the icefishing first pages. Check it out.
My buddy Edju has been dead about 5 years now, and that's part of the reason that I don't fish as much. He was always ready to go and take me along.
I'll make it a point to fish more this year........the hell with making lures!!!!LOL!!!!
