I was told to get a Wish List started for Christmas. I'm looking for some ideas. What's on your list? What's HOT?

I used garcia reels years ago. Recently, I have been using the Diawa CVZ 300A and the Pflueger Trion 66 reels. I'm happy with both but I think I might give the new Garcia Record reel a shot. Looked and felt great in the store. Garcia's tend to be like tanks so now it is only a question of performance. I've already heard very good things about them.

The new Record Reels are going to be great. Don't have one yet as the lefty model isn't out yet or at least not when I have looked. Chuck Nelson can give more insight on them, but yeah...it's a very nice reel for an affordable price.

A trailor and an outboard for my boat!! Its tough loading it in the back of my pickup, and slow going with a trolling motor as my main power.

I'm hoping to kidnap an elf from Trueglide's premises and work him 24/7 on making baits for me and me alone, they are putting some real magic into them baits.

I just want some peace and quiet for the Holidays. These past 2 months have been a nightmare.

If I had to ask Santa for anything....I'd want a couple of Nitros from H20 Tackle, a Muskie First Sweatshirt and boat decals and ask that Santa brings all my friends and family the things they want or need.

Here is the list, though my wife IS NOT allowed to buy me any of these things....

-Optima Trolling motor battery.
-Eagle Fishmark 320 (I give up on my front locator, time for the trash)
-Minn Kota Power Drive, at LEAST 65lbs (tired of fighting the wind and losing)
-8' Custom Frank Rod (jerkbait)
-Matching 6.3:1 Garcia reel for the new jerkbait rod (new Record reel, or a souped up Hatteras Outfitters reel)
-Lakewood Jr. (still only going to bring 6-15 baits in the boat, but now I wont fear impaling myself on them)

Thats about it....for now!

I like the peace and quiet idea. I told Lori I didn't want anything, because the new boat this spring will be enough of a x-mas and B-day present for more than 5 years.

Spoil the hell out of my daughter, and we are satisfied with nothing.
Could use a stronger trolling motor. Just like Slamr, I get tired of fighting the wind.
That and an ATV. Not for joy riding, but for work around the land. Once rain and snow hit, I'm SOL. An ATV would make my life much easier.

I need a good pair of polarized sunglasses so I can see what's going on just below the surface. I'm convinced I miss a lot of fish because of that.

And what I'm sure we all need: more time on the water.

Grrr, you show wisdom in your request. May Santa grant your wish with a durable, economical pair and may you not let them blow off the transom of the boat, or the top of the car, or just disappear like my last three pairs have.

You will be amazed at the number of fish that you get to see vs what you could see without them. I have had as many as 5 fish up in a day and partner 2 with a partner that only was able to see ONER of the 7 fish showing.

I need a new outboard...something in a 115 hp would be great, with all the added stuff in the boat she needs alittle more punch.
A portable live well. Being a fish & ski it's lacking on the fish alittle
8' custom Frank rod would be great (I saw the one at the Kly....nice)
1/2 dozen new baits (Hey the auction is coming up)
A 50"r next year "So many Muskies so few in the boat".
A job for my fishing partner self explained.

Just had a wonderful phone call with my ex, my kids were stranded in kansas and she never called me but called my 84 year old grandfather and I found out last night. He is ill and i question her motives for that. It ended badly with a promise to change visitation so for christmas I would not like to shell out another 15 grand retainer.

Uggggh...the personal Xmas list is rather long and expensive. I'm not asking for any of this stuff from anyone else for Xmas...if I get any of it...I'll be the one buying it.

- (2) new trolling motor batteries (Optima? Douglas?)
- (2) New electronics (Lowrance) - one w/ GPS for the console and one for the bow
- Marine radio w/ 8' antennea
- New set of Polarized sunglasses (had some bad luck this past season...)
- Clear Plano box inserts
- Cold weather suit - bib pants & jacket
- New trolling motor??? Upgrade from 48 lber to at least 65 - 75 lber????
- If I wanna get REALLY, REALLY crazy?! A new 150 hp four-stroke, EFI Yammie

Most likely thing from that list that I'll get? The clear Plano box inserts. They're the cheapest thing on the list! LOL!
