Location: Pulaski, WI | Who fished on Sunday?
My buddy didn't want to go, and I wasn't thrilled about going out by myself.

Location: Racine, Wi | I went out for about 3 hours or so. Just to say I've fished in 30-40 mph winds. Nothing. Had to use the outboard to slow the drift down. White caps over the entire lake, and only 2 wind surfers out there. I LOVE fall. |

| Dan and I went to Alum Creek lake, north of Columbus Sunday with his boat. The weather seemed warm and we drove through all the showers, but when we got to the lake we saw whitecaps and 1.5-2 footers under dark skies. Perfect!
One muskie guy was giving the ramp a dubious look, remarking something about mad dogs and muskie fishermen. Alum is a big bowl with a very long dam. We put in and trolled the dam several times, marking fish but nothing rising. We then went to the other end of the 'bowl', a causeway, Dan got a few good splashes over the bow while he was on the tiller. Greenish waves were pounding agains the rip rap and we were certain to get a rip. nada.
We repaired to a cove out of the wind and cast into 5-8 foot waters, with a foot to two feet visibility. Found several humps too, where the coves joined the main lake. Sure looked like a sweet spot, but soon it was back to trolling and we hit the dropoff off the humps on the lake side. Ended the day back at the dam, lots of gulls feeding, fish on the finder, none on the hook. A long day in the wind, fer sure.
We also saw wind surfers and one guy with a kite that pulled him along. I'm not sure what happened but as we were riding the road below the dam, two fire rescue units, one with a boat, were heading toward the launch. Hope all was well. At least we got the boat out before they closed the ramp. m |

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | I fished from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm in Vilas county. I must have picked the right lake as I could fish wherever I wanted. I even experienced a good hour of calm winds! However, the snow was ridiculous! During that calm spell I couldn't even see the water at the boat due it snowing so hard.
My boat ended up as an ice cube the next day as all the snow froze my boat solid to the point of all my compartments frozen shut, and my steering was also frozen! |

Location: Roscoe IL | I was out as well.. What a joke. We fished from 7:00am to 11:30ish and called it. We never experienced any relief from the wind or rain/snow/sleet. We gave it all we had but the trolling motor batteries were starting to give from being on weld the whole time. Our efforts produced nada Sunday but Saturday was fantastic. So all in all it was worth the long drive to Lincoln Co from Rockford!!
