| What is the deal with this lake? Is it legal or illegal to fish it? I see that it is boardered by a Three Rivers Park. |

| I think that it is illegal to fish this lake. I am pretty sure there is no access either. I have seen people pull over off of highway 7 wtih a small aluminum boat and electric motor and carry their boat into the water. Not sure what the population is in there anymore. It is similar to Rebecca in that it either "IS" or "WAS" a brooding pond for other metro lakes. I am pretty sure that there are signs on trees saying to keep off. If anyone else knows more about this please feel free to respond, but I am fairly confident that this lake is "technically" off limits to fish.

Location: Otsego, MN | Checked the DNR website and in 1996 32 fish over 29 inches were netted. The lake has bullheads, crappie, shiner, and muskie. Was a lake used by the DNR to "grow out" the fish they were raising. My brother works for the Three Rivers Park district and says he has heard nothing about not being able to fish the lake. Call the park district and just ask. |

Location: Watertown, MN | Like stated it was a back up brood stock lake, as far as population of fish it not quite sure, people have fished it. It is legal to fish the lake access is a different story. Half the lake shore is owned by private company, NO Tresspassing!!! The park is off limits, that shoreline is desinated a wildlife sanctuary or something. IF fishing it, they will be waiting for you when you come off the water. People have fished it, and they have tried to find legal ways in, with no luck.
Good luck

| I have seen people out there in winter and summer, not sure how they got out there though. |

| It is possible for people to access the lake (physically), but there is no way to access it legally. The private land owner will not allow anyone to access from their side (as requested by the DNR). The Park side is a sanctuary and human foot travel and/or access is prohibited on that side. If you want to double check-it yourself you can call Rod Ramsell with the DNR and that's what he will tell you. |
