Where are you headed to fish muskies this weekend? It looks very cold and somewhat wet this Saturday here, and Sunday looks really nasty with rain wind and 44 degrees. Fall is definitely here! I'll be on Pelican Saturday AM, and maybe the afternoon too. In the woods cutting firewood Sunday, though.

You?

Allegheny river getting skunked again.

my problem, i found the baitfish....about 6 million of them near a XXXXXXXXX. anyhow, last sunday, i pulled up on the spot and literally there were thousands busting the surface in an area about 100x100 yards. they were so thick, i thought something was electrically wrong with my finders for a second.i started fishing the edges and actually caught one of the buggers on a rattletrap. then the 25 mph tommy maddux football game ruining winds started and it was curtains. i moved across the river to a piece of secondary structure and had a hit on a 13" trolled granny right outside another bait ball over 20 feet of water, but i was slow on the draw, and i think that big bait just got away from whatever it was.
i'll be back there cursing the weather again saturday by daybreak, hopefully i'll put all these record scrutinies to rest and hit the lottery that night too!

My Grand Daughter's B-day Party. She'll be my little musky buddy someday. I already have her playing with lures with no hooks on them.

I will be working the river below Pymatuning and Sharpsville Dams. These river fish have been mighty touchy this year so am hoping they will come out and play with me. I am usually hunting by this time.
