Location: Lino Lakes, MN | Just wanted to say a quick congrats to Steve on another monster fish yesterday. Nothing better than getting a call to tell you the whole story of a big girl deciding to eat. 53" with a nice girth from what I understand. Lets hear the story and see some pics when you get them bud. Another well deserved fish.

| Thanks guys.Persistence paid off. After a real tough stretch with fish seen but few in the boat, the Muskie Gods smiled upon us.The stupid fish was supposed to eat Frank's Mag Dawg, but instead followed my Big 10" Record(love that song)Slammer Deep Minnow in a shiner pattern.Pretty cisco lookin if ya ask me.We were fishin a reef with several "high spots".On the L, she went under the boat and I said "low 40's".I continued the 8 and out comes the fish from under the boat and is right on the bait.Quick burst of speed on the straightaway and she eats it the turn.By the head.30 seconds and she's in the bottom of the Kahuna. She had all 3 tines of the front hook in the corner of her yap.She was stuck. After she's in the net, I say, "that's a freakin big fish, she may be pushing the envelope(50")."Had a grit to calm down and let her get her bearings before the measurement.Dipped the board and climbed into the net to corral the beast.I get my hand in position and begin to lift.Holy crap!!!!!!!The fish just kept coming .Calm and quiet she laid as the tip of her tail(no pinch,LMAO)touched 53.I was in shock. The fish was so thick, I would have never guessed 53.Maybe I need specs in my old age.LOL.After a couple days of pulling my hair out, aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.Still a lot of open water and the cisco spawn is yet to come.I love Fall.A friend gave me a special "fish rock" to keep in my pocket the other day.Said it would help cure what ails me and the fish will come.Bryan Kerchal had a fish whistle, I've got a rock.A huge thank you to Frank for his masterful netjob.Great guy who makes awesome rods .The fish was caught using an 8'6" Frank built.Awesome rod. Thanks also MUST go to Muskie Breath.YOU are the man. Thanks dude.Keep chuckin' and windin'. Steve
