Hi All,
I'm heading up to Treelands Resort next Thur. - Sunday for some marathon musky fishing. Can anyone out there give me an idea of what to expect, particularly in light of the oncoming cold snap? It looks like temps will be stablized later next week, which should be good.

How does turnover effect the chip? If there was a week it does - it appears to be next week. Is the chip less affected being a flowage or am i in for a long trip? Do certain areas "turn" while others do not?

Assuming water temps drop to the mid-50's, what would you suggest I focus on as far as presentations and structure?

Sorry for all the questions - this is my only trip this year due to our new(est) baby and I want to make it as fruitful as possible.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Jeff

FishHateMe,

I have not been on the chip for over a week, been up there but building a deck on the trailer. I would wait for reports of how the tournament goes this weekend . . . . .

But if I had to guess, I would say by the time you get there it will be casting and dragging a sucker time. I would start out in areas that still have green weeds, and with the weather the way it has been I am thinking there will still be plenty.

Normally this is the time of the year I change from casting to shorefishing with quick sets and circle hooks, but with the water temps higher than normal I would still look to casting to produce the best.

If the weeds do not produce try the river channel edges with deeper minnow baits or crankbaits . . . .while dragging a sucker.

If you do find fish are still in the weeds don't neglect the topwaters . . . .especially globes and hog wobblers.

check out Ty Sennet's website at www.tysennett.com for the latest fishing updates.

Hope this helps.

Corey Meyer
