Location: The desert | Anyone in the stevens point area know anything about fixing an abu ambassadeur 6500C4. I think my level wind is broken and the line just piled up on the right side of the spool. This happened to me about hour 3 of the tournament I was in this weekend...fortunately I had a spare. Any help would be appreciated.

Location: Ogden, Ut | Sounds like the levelwind pawl/worm gear went bad. I've had it happen a couple of times (I've since learned how to prevent it). It's an easy fix for any competent reel tech or send it back to Pure Fishing in Spirit Lake and they will fix it pronto. I have had nothing but positive experiences w/ their reel services dept.
