Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Kristy is keeping the registration open until the beginning of the rules meeting which is Friday, Ocotber 14th. She does not want to make people think that they cannot get in at the last minute if there are openings.
The Saturday night banquet will be FREE to the tournament anglers and open to the public for a charge. If you are bringing a significant other and they are not fishing the tournament, they are more than welcome to attend the banquet with you.
Prizes will include lures, savings bonds, oil changes, marine batteries, fishing reels, gift certificates for various items and many, many other items; then a couple of BIG raffles. FIRST BIG RAFFLE: FRABILL ICE PACKAGE THAT INCLUDES AN ICE SHACK, 2 BUCKETS, 2 JIG POLE COMBO'S AND 2 TIP UPS; ABOUT A $500 PACKAGE. SECOND BIG RAFFLE JUST CONFIRMED: "FIRST ANNUAL OCTOBER MUSKY FEST" THORNE BROTHERS CUSTOM MUSKY ROD; A $170+ VALUE. Above and beyond these there will be numerous guide trips for both Minnesota and Wisconsin. Within the next week or so we will try to post the donations that people made and the raffle prizes that are available.
Entry forms continue to be picked up and paid entries dropped off. This is a tournament for some friendly competition, a great get-together for musky anglers, a chance at a fall PIG, a chance at some money, an opportunity to take home some great raffle prizes and the MAIN reason for this tournament; to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. Also, about $382,000 was donated to the Katrina Fund by the ADA. So, any money raised during our weekend, no matter how little it may seem, will help.
Here are some figures to digest as well. Nationally: 18.2 million Americans have diabetes. $132 billion is spent on treating diabetes. 1.3 million new cases are diagnosed each year. In Wisconsin: 330,000 people are affected by diabetes and 80,000 people have diabetes and do not even know it. Do you have diabetes?
Think about how many people you know that are afflicted with this disease. Now get this, If we have just 75 people total show for the tournament, at least 2 of those people will probably be diagnosed with diabetes in the next 2-3 months. This figure came from the ADA themselves when Kristy was speaking with them.
If you are considering the tournament, we definitely hope to see you there. If you have decided to fish the tournament and not sent in, dropped off or called in your entry, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? LOL For those of you already entered, we thank you for the support.
Also, a big thank you goes out to all of the sponsors that have stepped up so far. We will list them all when the list is more complete. We will thank Steve Worrall and Muskie First for being the coverage sponsor for the tournament right now. Not sure what Steve has up his sleeve or has in store for the tournament, but I am sure everyone will be pleased with what he does.
Good fishing and we hope that you join us for a weekend of GREAT FUN!!!
Chuck

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Kristy just called. A nice box of baits and other items just arrived from MEPPS.
Rollie & Helens is on as a sponsor of the tournament as well. They are donating the use of their measuring boards for the judges to use during the tournament. Hopefully the boards will measure over 50".
If anyone else would like to donate baits, fishing or non-fishing items or even guide trips, please give Kristy a call. Many, many letters went out to numerous companies and guides wondering about donations for the tournament. If you did not get one and would like to donate to the cause, we appologize. It is hard to get addresses and contacts for all parties in the industry. You can give Kristy a call at 715-369-1900 for more information.
Good Fishing,

Location: Freedom, WI | My wife and I will be there. Even though I have never fished most of the lakes on the list, never even heard of 2 of them. Should be a good time, if I catch a fish even better. Also H2O Tackle will be donating some stuff for the cause. |

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Brad Biscobing is donating another trolling motor battery. Thanks Brad!! He stopped in the store today and told Kristy he would do that. He is also hoping that he will be able to fish the tournament, it is dependent on work for him. 5 basements to pour yet so he is going to be kept busy.
Yes, Roger Watters is donating H2O products as well. Thank you Roger!!! Looking forward to seeing you again up here. Don't worry Roger, there will be enough guys who will point you in the right direction if on a different lake. They will be honest with you as well.
More entries were requested from Kristy today and sent out. Another entry came in this afternoon too. Phone calls are almost daily for the tournament. This is going to be a fun tournament, so don't miss out.
Good Fishing,
Chuck

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Steve,
I leave early tomorrow, Monday, morning for a sport show. Kristy is leaving by noon on Monday to attend the same show. I go to sell, she is going to buy. We both will not be back until later on Wednesday. She will be in the shop on Thursday and Friday of this week.
I hope that Thursday or Friday works for you.
Not sure if you saw or not, but Channel 12 had her live on television last Wednesday. She had to go there for the interview. She received calls from that requesting entry forms.
