Thanks DevilFish, I assume you must know us well to have that good of details. We had a fantastic weekend to say the least. I was able to prefish and relax with my wife a couple days before Mike arrived for the tournament. Mike and I fish well together. If one of us says that we think we need to change spots or tactics we trust eachothers judgements. On day two after an hour of not seeing any fish we both looked at eachother and said we need to get to spot #2. Within 5 minutes we had fish #2, the 45"er. We were excited but still nervous with so many good sticks out there we thought someone could catch us. Our roomates and friends Lance and Luke Christensen almost did. Their first fish on Saturday was also 49" and their 2nd fish on Sunday was 43", wow that was close! I don't have all of the peopels names and places so I'll wait for Steve to post those so I don't mess up the names and places.
Officially Mike and I had a 48.5 and a 45.5
Lance and Luke Christensen had a 49 and a 43.
I'd like to thank Paul and Kristi Hartman for all of their hard work putting the tournamnets together. They also use part of the proceeds to stock muskies in many of the MN lakes. Win or lose we always have a great time at their tournaments. I'll let Paul spell out all the deatils but next years tournaments are going to be even better. They will be run as a circuit with regular season events at Metro lakes, Vermillion, Mille Lac, Cass and Leech, and a Championship at Minnetonka. I can't wait for next years events.

Clay,
We fished against you and your brother-in-law in last weekends tournament! Let me say congrat's on an unbelievable effort!!! Considering there were only 12 fish caught by 130 anglers and you guys got 2, very impressive! My partner and I had 2 opportunities on Saturday, but nothing Sunday! Oh well, such is life when chasing muskies! Great tournament! We had a blast, learned a ton about Cass Lake!We will deffinitely be back next year to try again to "unseat" you guys!
