I went out last Friday and it was green as pea soup and worse as you went south. The temps for me were mid 70's, but I'm sure it is down now. The weeds were still there and green.

I was also out about a week ago, and the weeds are high and boat traffic still heavy(for me at least). Hoping this cool front will encourage people to put away their boats.

Was out the past two days . I fished from Channel/Catherine all the way south to Petite . I had three follows , one 35 inch muskie and a nice largemouth in the boat to show for twenty hours of fishing. All of the action came shallow six feet or less with two of the follows and the thirty five coming from Marie, Fishing seeems slow as conditions were ideal it seemed this morning with only one lazy follow to show for what seemed like prime time to be on the water. Water temps 67 to 69 with clarity slightly improving but still bad in some spots with the bloom. Anybody found a pattern, a hot bait, or lake maybe? Thanks

Was out on Tuesday 10-4 and water temps were 70 degrees! Went out again this past Sunday 10-9-05 ans temps dropped to 62 degrees. Turnover is right around the corner. Didn't see a fish on either outing. Caught 1 small bass on a spinnerbait. Nothing dragging meat either. Had a sausage ona bobber and one on a dead stick, NADA. Saw 1 36'er get caught on the west shoreline of Channel by the sand beach.

Turnover should start on the Chain later this week with the cool evenings.

How are water levels doing? I'm camping this weekend at Chain O Lakes SP and might bring the rig along. I haven't been on the chain much but know my way to Channel and Catherine from Grass. Without the buoys though I am a little concerned about water levels.
