Location: Eau Claire, WI | It was another great event on the waters of Eau Claire, Chippewa and Rusk counties.
Top honors went to Mr. Lunglog himself - Jim Bunch. Jim had 49 points with fish of 45-43-39 all out of Wissota. In 2004, Jim won the longest release of our tournament with a 49.75" Wissota. For that, Jim had the added pleasure this year in receiving his free replica of that fish courtesy of the First WI Chapter of Muskies Inc and Lax Taxidermy.
Two big fish caught this year - George Liske had a 51.25" from Holcombe and Dalton Engstrom's 50"er from Wissota. Great fish guys, way to go.
This year, we had 305 contestants. Of the 305, 64 caught a total of 94 Muskies.
The top 10 places were:
1. Jim Bunch 45-43-39
2. Mike Gilbertson 42-41-40
3. George Liske 51.25-37-34
4. Rick Mechelke 42.50-40-36.50
5. Steve Nitek 41.50-38-35
6. (tie) Dalton Engstrom 50-34 / Jason Roytek 44-40
7. (tie) Harold Beaudin 42.50-39 / Jerry Plantz 37-35.50-35
8. Len Rubesch 38-34.25-35
9. (tie) Jeremiah Wolf 43-37 / James Zillmer 37-35-34
10. (tie) Paul Celley 43.50-34.50 / Scott Normand 40-38
The winners of our grand prize drawings were:
Rick Dobrzynski - $1000
Joe Flater - $500
John Carlson - One week stay at Bay Store Camp - Lake of the Woods.
Complete results will be posted on our website in a couple of weeks. http://firstwi.muskiesinc.org
I would like to say thank you so much to our contestants and sponsors...you make this a great event year in and year out. Thank you for your support.
And to those of you who have never fished this tournament....what are you waiting for? See you next year!

Location: north central wisconsin | Congrats to the winners and to my cousin George for the hawg that put him into third! He sent me a pic of the fish, and it is a real beefy one at that.

| Reef Hawg, can you email me that pic? I didn't get a chance to ask George at the awards banquet.
Thanks! |

| Thank you Steve for your support. Indeed, every year seems some nice fish show up around here and the numbers are pretty darn good too.
