I'm in Kansas covering the In Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail Mercury Championship, so no muskies for me!

Where are you headed this weekend for some very late summer muskies?

Where in Kansas? I was stationed down there when I was in the Army. There are some HUGE Walleyes down there, believe it or not.

Junction City, Lake Milford. Beautiful area, and some pretty good fishing, too.

Both Saturday and Sunday.
Maybe I can get out Monday for a while.

Mike, who are you going out with. We will be out allll day Sat from dawn to past dark. I think we will be on the big O for most of the day, but we may lake hop. I have a crestliner 1750 and I'll have my lab and mini tuffy with me. Give me a shout. I can point you in a good direction.

Now that the MI tourney is over, I might actually try leech out for a while if the wind is not too high...

If you can believe it, I have fished the local lakes around Leech for close to 30 years, but have only gone to leech 2 times to fish muskies... The ifrst on a day that started out in the upper 70's (I was in shorts) and by the time I got to the lake, it was 20mph winds, cold and whitecaps. We saw people out there in parkas and here I am in shorts and a T shirt..

Hopefully there will be something moving out there...

Ah yes, Milford. Junction City is right outside Ft. Riley. If you have free time, and if the post is open to vistors again, the Museum on post is well worth your time.

Shelbyville tomorrow and Sunday. I'm also hoping this full moon thing will help the fishing. I only need a couple more fish to make my goal....

Fishcrazed and I are taking out a special needs young man Saturday afternoon for some panfish. Can't wait to see the look on his face when the boat and truck pull up to his folk's house. PRICELESS!

Someone told me there were muskies stocked in Milford, any truth to that? It's loaded with fish, from wipers, white bass, smallmouth, largemouth, walleyes, cats...
