My dad and I are going to go up fishing on pelican for a day and i was wondering if anyone here could give us a few pointers. We have fished it once before, but because of wind we were limited to just fishing the southwest bay, i believe its called musky bay. Seems like an awesome lake and im anxious to fish it again. PM me if you have any special secrets you dont want to share with everyone. Thanks

I'd be happy to help, but have to hit the road right now. I'll try to get an answer to you this evening.

Esox,
I spend an awful lot of time on Pelican. Steve will shoot you some really good advice, and we fish the lake somewhat similarily. I would concentrate on the rock areas of the lake moreso than weeds this time of year. All of the shallow rock areas are marked with buoys, most have really nice breaks coming off of them, and hold a bunch of fish this time of year.

If you need more advice feel free to email me, or check out the fishing reports on my website.
