Well, a tourney that will separate the men from the boys in musky fishing. You don't know where you will be fishing until the night before each of the 2 days. You can use 2 lines. You can use suckers. But, no trolling.

It is always nice going into a tournament knowing what body of water you will be on. Pre fishing and having a pattern all set. Moving a few big fish and going back after them. Well, here is a tournament where you can TRY to prepare, but those fishermen that are able to overcome and adapt and know HOW to fish various waters will prevail.

If you are coming in from out of town, the locals have no more of an advantage than anyone else. If you have fished the waters or can adapt to various types of waters, you will be just fine.

Larger sponsors and donations are coming in. Frabill has stepped up and donated a $500 ice fishing package for the raffle drawing; THANK YOU MARK!!!! Gods Country Chapter of Muskies Inc donated $100 that is going directly to the ADA (WE THANK YOU GODS COUNTRY), KDC Lures, Bergstrom Motors, Subbys Subs, Country Kitchen, Pizza Hut, various guide trips (guides to be listed later), Savings Bonds from M&I Bank.

We will keep you updated on other sponsors as they come in.

Please, for any information on the tournament or if you wish to become a sponsor of the tournament, call Kristy at 715-369-1900.

ALL entries should be sent to:

Nelson's Choice Bait & Tackle
attn: October Musky Fest

We hope that you will join us in some great fun. Catching musky, winning prizes and raising money for a FANTASTIC cause. Think about how many people you know suffer from diabetes, have suffered complications from diabetes or have died from it effects.

Hope to see you fishing the tournament,

Chuck

There is some mis-information that is going around that is disturbing. This tournament is a NON-TRANSPORT tournament WITH JUDGES!!! People are spreading false information that all you have to do is have any other boat on the water witness the fish and measure it. THIS IS 100% FALSE. We have specific judges for this tournament that will be on the water and their job is to measure and witness the fish.

I hope that this clears things up and puts peoples minds to rest on this subject. If there are any other items that need clarifying, please post questions on here.

Good Fishing,

Chuck

One other question was if it was really 2 lines per person. The answer is, YES. Suckers are allowed in this tournament with quick strike rigs mandatory. So, if you want 2 suckers out while you and your partner are casting, knock yourselves out.

I be thinking that there will be some big PIGGIES taken during this tournament.
