About 7:30 Rick Hess and CocoMo Joe Perry took a 45.5" in and at 9 am they took in a 51.25" monster. The 19k is now thiers!
They fished Okauchee lake as did 27 other teams.
We got a shorty and moved 10-12 more. 4 teams doubled and 5 others have singles (the largest single was caught on pewaukee and measured 48".

I wish I could have fish that one but guide committants on Friday night and Saturday morning and Saturday night kept me out of this one. Good think because I would have got by but kicked by these dudes.
Okauchee has been kickin out the big fish for weeks. I was surprized to see so many teams out on Pewaukee today.
It hurt to guide today watching the boys fish the tourny. By noon only 3 fish were caught on Pewaukee in the tourny.
Congrats to Joe on his huge double. Now I know why Rick fished with this MOJO filled guy. He stuck a 47-incher on Pewaukee when no one else caught a legal last year in the IMTT.

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Rick and Joe held out and won the WMT Southern Final with a single day record 97 points. I got some wrong info yesterday, turned out 3 teams total doubled (1 team took 2 35"ers today) and a total of 14 fish being caught. Bigfish saturday was Joe/Rick's 51.25 and todays was a 41.5".
Fishing seemed to be faster on Pewaukee with some teams raising an amzing 20 fish. We rose 5 fish (2 legals) in the first hour but couldn't seal the deal.
Congrats Rick and Joe, it's great that the first WMT 50" (and the win) went to a couple of great guys.
Bill Vierkandt, We owe you a great deal of thanks as well, your scouting on O led to a few exciting moments for us in the last few hours. A nice 40-44" made our knees buckle.
Mike...I was in bed both nights before 11...sober. HAHAHAHHAHAHA

| Congrats to Kokomo Joe & Rick( Net Man )Hess, I guess I didn't believe Joe when he said he was going to beat his 47" that morning and when he caught the 45 3/4" I gave him some SH T, all he said was he still had time and within a hour 51 1/4 WOW. Great Job again guys, and Joe the only thing I can say is stop letting Rick hold your fish for the pictures have him catch his own if he wants to hold them. HA,HA,HA

| Just to clarify John's statement that the 50" $$$ is GONE!!! That is not entirely accurate! Rick and Joe earned the $19,010.00 that was in the pool but at this year's Invitational Championship we will start it up again at $1,500.00 and by the time we register everyone, it can be up to $2,160.00 before the start of the tournament.
Congrats to Rick and Joe. Great fish and great tournament guys!
